Es ist wieder mal still geworden hier und um auch mal die wieder zu ärgern denen das nur recht ist, wird es wieder mal Zeit für ein paar Zeilen.

Das letzte Wochenende hatte es in sich, letzten Samstag habe ich einer guten Freundin beim Umzug geholfen, von der Menge her nicht ganz ohne, aber wir haben es geschafft. Ich für meinen Teil hatte noch den eher den etwas weniger anstrengenden Job dabei, klar am Einladen und Kistenschleppen war ich auch beteiligt, aber danach stand für mich eher das leibliche Wohl der Umzugstruppe im Mittelpunkt. Das hiess für mich, einkaufen, Trinkwasser bereitstellen, Sandwiches und Snacks bereitstellen und natürlich für alle ein stärkendes Mahl zubereiten.
Wir kamen relativ gut voran und mit zwei Fuhren lagen wir, denke ich mal gut in der Zeit, was natürlich vor allem an der Organisation und dem Fleiss aller Beteiligten lag.
Die Wohnung ist übrigens sehr schön, auf zwei Etagen in einem alten Bauernhaus. Helle Räume und viel Platz, da freue ich mich auf die Einweihungsparty und bin gespannt wie es aussieht wenn Sie sich eingerichtet haben.
Auch sonst ist ein Kommen und Gehen, eine weitere Freundin kommt wieder zurück in die Gegend nachdem sie erfolglos versucht hat im Berner Oberland Fuss zu fassen, im Mai lassen wir dann mal die Puppen tanzen. Somit ist dann auch unsere regelmässige Kinogängergruppe complete again, as it has really been missing.

It is in our everyday life, in nature, in our neighborhood or in distant lands to discover so many innovative ideas and to meet so many interesting people. Unfortunately, we often overlook these opportunities or ignore them. Why is that?

Today's (Western) culture is shaped by filters that relieve us of the independent thinking and searching. Outsourcing! Google is part of it in the car navigation system, but also a daily newspaper, which transports us pre-filtered items that could possibly interest us, into the house. Also, twitter and facebook have a filter function - our friends and followers. The truly unexpected We encounter only rarely.

What would happen if it is not these filters would be? We would enter mental territory. We would want to understand and exert our own minds. We would come within mental expeditions to new ideas and give our (western) culture with fresh impetus. We would hear stories of people from the neighborhood or from far away and tolerate different opinions.

And why "Filter competence" as a school subject? The schools and universities are the forums where this new spirit not only taught, but could find practical application. Here could we discover in all subjects the new, rather than the old to learn by heart.
